These terms apply when you order from Ali Plates UK. Placing an order means you accept them. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we email to confirm we've accepted it and verified your documents — not when you pay.
We may refuse an order if:
If we refuse your order we'll refund you in full.
Road-legal number plates cannot lawfully be supplied in the UK without checking you're entitled to the registration. Before we manufacture, you must provide:
If you don't supply these within a reasonable time we'll cancel and refund your order. Providing false or altered documents is a criminal offence and we will report it.
Show plates are not road legal and do not require these documents.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. Plates are manufactured exactly as ordered. Because each one is made to your registration, an incorrect entry cannot be resold, and we can't replace it free of charge.
If you spot an error, contact us immediately. If the plate hasn't entered production we'll correct it at no cost.
We try to keep prices accurate, but if an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price we'll contact you before proceeding and you can confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
We deliver to UK addresses only. Timescales given on the site are estimates and begin once your documents are verified, not when you pay.
Risk passes to you on delivery. If your order hasn't arrived in a reasonable time, contact us and we'll chase the carrier.
Number plates are personalised goods. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the usual 14-day right to cancel does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised. A plate carrying your registration falls into that category.
This does not affect your rights if something is wrong. We'll replace or refund where:
Contact us within 14 days of delivery with a photo. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances.
We cannot accept returns because you ordered the wrong size, entered the wrong registration, or changed your mind.
Our road-legal plates are manufactured to BS AU 145e. It remains your responsibility to:
Misrepresenting a registration is an offence and can mean a fine and a failed MOT.
Show plates are supplied for off-road, show and display use only. They are not road legal in any form.
By ordering a show plate you confirm that:
We accept no liability for any penalty, prosecution or loss arising from a show plate being used on the road.
We're responsible for loss you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We're not liable for loss that isn't foreseeable, or for business losses.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't lawfully be limited.
Our liability is otherwise limited to the value of your order.
The content, design and images on this site belong to us and may not be reproduced without permission.

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published when you place your order.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
